About Nymox

Nymox Pharmaceutical Corporation (NASDAQ:NYMX) is a biopharmaceutical company specializing in the research and development of therapeutics and diagnostics for the aging population.

Nymox has an extensive pipeline of products under development, including therapeutics for enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH), a common affliction of males over the age of 50, and for Alzheimer's disease, the most common cause of dementia in the elderly. The company has global patent rights for the use of statins to treat or prevent Alzheimer’s disease. Nymox also has therapeutics in development for other indications, including deadly E. coli O157 food contamination, a major public health concern.

Nymox’s lead drug candidate for the treatment of BPH, NX-1207, has successfully completed Phase 1 and 2 clinical trials and is entering Phase 3 trials in the U.S., the last stage before applying for FDA approval.

Nymox developed AlzheimAlert™, the only accurate urine test that can help in the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease. Nymox markets AlzheimAlert™ in the U.S. as a reference laboratory test and in the E.U. as a CE-marked kit for hospitals and laboratories in Europe.

Nymox also markets NicAlert™ and TobacAlert™, which are quantitative, easy-to-use, inexpensive patented urine tests for tobacco exposure. TobacAlert™ is currently offered in pharmacies and drug stores across the U.S. NicAlert™ is an FDA-cleared test for medical uses. The company also has other diagnostic tests in development using its patented diagnostic platform technology as well as patented diagnostic markers for the measurement of cholesterol levels using saliva samples and for osteoporosis.

Nymox is developing treatments for Alzheimer's disease and other indications employing its proprietary drug screening platforms. One program is based on spherons, which Nymox researchers regard as a source of senile plaques, the characteristic abnormality found in abundance in the brains of patients with Alzheimer's disease.

Nymox’s stock is traded on NASDAQ with the symbol NYMX. The company has two subsidiaries, Nymox Corporation and Serex, Inc., and facilities in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey and Montreal, Quebec.
