PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 27, 2000) -- Nymox Pharmaceutical Corporation (NASDAQ: NYMX) – Positive trial data from Nymox’s Neural Thread Protein (NTP) Alzheimer test to aid the physician will be presented here at the current meeting of the American Psychiatric Association. Nymox’s NTP immunoassay was found to be 90% sensitive and over 90% specific in a study of 120 individuals. The data further validated the urine NTP test as a practical tool with significant clinical utility.

MAYWOOD, NJ (October 26, 2000) -- Nymox Pharmaceutical Corporation (NASDAQ: NYMX) – Analysis of an independent study of Nymox’s Neural Thread Protein (NTP) test was published in the current issue of Neurology, the official journal of the American Academy of Neurology. New correspondence was published concerning the independent validation of NTP accuracy and measurement (Neurology 2000, 55, 1068). The study was undertaken in a multicenter coded trial of NTP at Stanford University School of Medicine, Departments of Neurobiology, Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Neurosurgery, the Parkinson’s Institute, and Ludwig-Maximilians University School of Medicine, Dementia Research and Neuroimaging Section, and Department of Psychiatry, that was published in the peer-reviewed journal.
